Pakcik from Almanar wrote about Rememberance Day here . His blog somehow often sparks nuggets of inspiration for me to leave him a poem in his comment box even though he says that my poetry, while beautiful, escapes him! Anyway, Pakcik kindly featured my little poem on rememberance on his blog.

It is the way of the world
Time and tide, await no man
Except in the heart
Where memories reside
And yet there are those
Who belittle our hold to the past
I say to them...
Learning and teachings
Would be meaningless lessons
Why, civilisation was built
upon the memories of man!
SURREAL IS OUR LIFE TODAY

Ninot,
Beautifully written as always..where as we (as in the gang and me) remain "budding" poet etc since...dulu2 (word escape me after having brunch..hehehe..)

Dear Sherry,
You and I are the memory keepers. Through our words and pictures and philosophy, we share our vision with others so that people do not so easily forget.
Thank you for always being there for me, Sherry.
Dear dear Cheqna,
Your writing is true and from the heart. And your blog is testament to that.
Aahhh, as for me, writing is like breathing. I can't stop it nor do I want to. I guess our teachers saw this. Sometimes I don't even know where the words come from, and they appear on the page without conscious thought from me.
Other times, the sky changes from sunrise to sunset to midnight to dawn without me realising I have sat at my computer, stiff shouldered and weary, stopping only for a quick read/reference, a drink and prayers.
Such is the life of a writer.
And I love it.
Aunty Ninot,
tsk tsk tsk...come on! Go out, smell the roses, stop being cooped up in front of the terminal.... purrr....meow!
Glad to know you love your life as a writer.. may you be forever grateful that you can see deeper than most ..you can write more profound than most..
Le plus profond.. c'est ca..c'est toute.. c'est vrai
Dear Cats (fr Sydney),
I still enjoy my gardening. And my chillies are just fabulous now after years of frustration. The neighbourhood cats though drive me crazy in the garden.
Sasha and Cruikshanks are examplary. And keep my temper in check.
So I do have a life away from the screen.
Dear Ayoh Wang,
Alhamdulillah for this gift.
